Weston Public Library

Extra Mile Design created the Weston Public Library design around the theme "Where Dreams Begin" The Weston Public Library is a calm and beautiful place with a pastoral view from every window. It is the sort of place that encourages the mind to expand as far as the imagination can go.

Each section of the site is color-coded (purple for general information, gold for the "BookNook" (the reader's advisory section), teal for the reference section, and so forth, with a "color bar" image at the top of each page reflected also in a "color box" at the top of each right-hand column.

On a technical note, this site is again done with the look and feel completely controlled by style sheets - there are no <font> tags, and no tables, except for tabular data (like the Library Hours shown to the right).

An EventKeeper feed keeps the content area on the home page refreshed every day with upcoming events at the library.
